Getting Geared up for September!

Despite the funding woes, we are working hard to keep up the pace on TNR! For September, we have a block of 25 appointments funded by one of our non-profit partners. Until they are able to land more grants, they’ll be sidelined from the big runs to our TNR vet.

We have six appointments partially funded by the Spay Georgia Fuzzy Ferals program. More on that in a future post. This is a great state-wide program that assists people in fixing community cats at little or no charge. For us, the nearest participating vet charges us $20 per cat for the rabies vaccine but the procedure is otherwise free. We are paying for these appointments from our own personal funds.

We also have five appointments this month with SAFE. We are paying for these as well. The cost for these appointments ranges from $40 to $85 per cat.

That leaves us 10-15 appointments short of our monthly goal. The only thing holding us back is funding! We previously released both a GoFundMe campaign for one-off contributions and a Patreon account for sustainable support. Please consider contributing whatever amount you can afford without creating any personal hardship. Any amount helps us reach our goal!

In addition to TNR, we also foster. In the photo above, meet our foster, Rudy. He’s one of five friendly kittens we rescued from a home in Middle Georgia. We’ve TNR’d 15 cats from his colony so far!
